The Decision Making Journal
The idea to create a Decision Making Journal came from my conversation with Léna. For every big decision in her life, Léna takes the time to write down her toughts and share them with people important in her life. Together, we built a 4 steps process that can help you with your own decisions.
Step 1: Identify

Mental State (circle relatable): Energized, Happy, Confident, Determined, Focused, Calm, Relaxed, Peaceful, Content, Hopeful, Accepting, Accommodating, Tired, Resigned, Anxious, Frustrated, Angry, Stressed, Overwhelmed, Disappointed, Sad
Step 2, Take the time & Reflect
Here is a list of questions that can help you, you can write them on the next page
A. The situation/context:The problem statement or frame
B. The variables that govern the situation include
C. The complications/complexities as I see them
D. Alternatives that were seriously considered and not chosen were
E. Explain the range of outcomes
F. What I expect to happen and the actual probabilities are
Step 3, Share
Seek guidance from trusted family, friends, mentors, and professionals who understand your situation and can offer valuable insights.
D. Make a list of these people and decide on 3-5 individuals to share with.
Step 4, Review
Reflect on the decision and the impact of the advice received
